It’s the beginning of my favorite season, autumn. In celebration of the first brisk weekend of the season I decided to take a trip down to Brooklyn, NY. Excited to explore the city I spent my teenage years in, we headed to an area called Dumbo.
Dumbo in the early morning, before the crowds, is absolutely stunning. The cobblestone roads and the waterfront view give the area a sense of charm.
We had a blast spending quality father daughter time together. The highlight of the excursion was when a group of French tourists gathered around to watch the photoshoot. A nice woman yelled out, “une belle fille!” which translates to beautiful girl!
As the morning turned to afternoon the empty streets began to fill and the neighborhood became filled with people. There were people walking their dogs, moms and dads walking around with their kids, friends tossing around frisbees, and we even saw couples taking engagement photos! It was a fun place to be and we didn’t want to leave. But our outing had to come to an end and we headed back across the bridge towards Jersey. The last thing we did before we left beautiful Dumbo was stop to get a hotdog from a cart. We couldn’t resist!
